Background

Here is everything you need to know about IT Sligo – one of Ireland’s leading third level institutions for over 50 years and a great destination to get a high quality education.

IT Sligo is a home to over 8,600 students across its undergraduate, postgraduate and apprenticeship programmes. There is a library, places to eat/drink, a gym, and a variety of Student Services.

IT Sligo offers 80 full time and 140 part time online courses courses across three schools: Business and Social Sciences; Engineering and Design; and Science, as well as a wide range of taught postgraduate courses or research-based opportunities.

We are committed to growing our student numbers to 10,000 by 2022.

Over the last decade we’ve created a stunning 21st century learning environment making the Institute a modern campus. Find us in Sligo under the shadow of Benbulben and at the heart of the Wild Atlantic Way.

How could this affect me?

The campus is bigger than you might be used to at School or College and getting lost is common for new students and when timetables change. Becoming familiar with key buildings and locations may help you to prepare.
